Eco-Friendly Entrepreneurship: Fly Ash Brick Manufacturing

Fly Ash Brick Manufacturing

Why is Fly Ash Brick Making a profitable Business ?

There are several reasons why fly ash brick manufacturing is a lucrative business opportunity:

Benefits of Manufacturing Fly Ash Brick

Fly ash brick manufacturing offers a number of sustainability benefits, including:

Reduced environmental impact: Fly ash bricks are produced using a process that has a much lower environmental impact than traditional clay brick production. Fly ash bricks do not require the extraction of soil or the firing of bricks in kilns..

Conservation of resources: Fly ash is a waste product, so repurposing it to produce bricks helps to conserve resources.

Promotion of circular economy: Fly ash brick manufacturing is an example of a circular economy practice.

Machinery Required for Fly Ash Bricks Production

There are two main types of machines used for fly ash brick production: manual fly ash making machines and automatic fly ash making machines.

Manual fly ash making machines: Manual machines are suitable for small-scale or startup businesses.  While they are cost-effective, manual machines have a lower production capacity compared to automatic machines.

Types of Fly Ash Bricks

There are two different types of fly ash bricks:

Cement fly ash bricks:  These bricks require cement, fly ash, stone dust or sand, and liquid hardener.

Lime fly ash bricks: These bricks require stone dust or sand, liquid hardener, gypsum, and lime.

How to Understand the Value of Fly Ash

There are two methods to understand the value of fly ash:

Sieve method: Pour some fly ash and water into a sieve with 40mm holes. If the fly ash comes out of the holes with the water, then it is of good quality.

Blowing method: Place some fly ash in the palm of your hand and blow it. If the fly ash flies easily and floats in the air for a while, then it is of good quality. This is called silo fly ash. If the fly ash falls on the ground, then it is of poor quality. This is called bottom fly ash.

Sand Requirements for Fly Ash Bricks

Sand with a grain size of 3 to 4 mm is required for making fly ash bricks. It is important to avoid mixing soil with the sand. If soil is mixed with the sand, the percentage should be less than 1%.

Tips for Buying Fly Ash

Make sure that the fly ash does not contain any salt-like substance. This is a poor quality bricks.
